What makes a cover letter stand out?

Personalization. A boilerplate cover letter is arguably worse than no cover letter at all. You need to name-drop the company, explicitly mention the role you are applying for, and align your personal values or past achievements directly with the company's current goals or culture.

A standout cover letter addresses a specific problem the company is facing and explains how you can solve it. It shows that you've done your research and are genuinely interested in the company, not just any job.

Avoid clichés like "To whom it may concern." Whenever possible, find the name of the hiring manager. It shows initiative and attention to detail.
